29th Annual World's Smallest St. Patrick's Day Parade

Save the date for an Enterprise tradition that is sure to make neighboring communities green with envy. It’s time for the 29th Annual World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Enterprise!

The World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Make plans to celebrate like you are Irish during the 29th Annual World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12th, at noon.

This popular parade of one quickly became a community favorite after its inception in 1993. As the old tradition goes, the Chamber accepts local nominations for a favorite hometown Irishman or Irishwoman to be the honored Grand Marshall.

Said Grand Marshall grandstands down the Irish Isle—also known as East College Street—carrying a huge Irish flag while doing a jig. Okay, maybe not a jig, but dancing and merriment is party of the gig!

What’s more, crowd members are strongly encouraged to go beyond varying shades of green and dust off their Irish best instead.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Mrs. Dawn Johnson. She can trace her Irish roots way back. In fact, they go all the way back to 1779 and an Edward and Catherine Reily from Co Cavan, Ireland.

Don’t miss our very own beloved Mrs. Johnson strut her stuff from College Street, around the Boll Weevil Monument and back to the Court House this Saturday!

More than a parade

It’s a race to the finish line after the 29th Annual World’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Dust off your running shoes and get ready to sprint when you sign up for the Half Pint 0.5K Fun Run.

The race begins once the Grand Marshal makes her way to the starting line and waves that big ole Irish flag. After a quick trot around the block, the fun continues with a post-race party.
