The City of Progress has been in the limelight lately with news of a groundbreaking for the new Enterprise State Community College performing arts center.

About the project

If you are wondering why the new Enterprise State Community College performing arts center is such a big deal, there are several reasons! For starters, this is the first new facility to be built on the community college’s campus in more than 30 years.

Next, the state-of-the-art building will feature 600 seats within 35,000 square feet of performance space, professional-grade theatrical lighting and high-tech classrooms in a two-story, 15,000-square-foot academic wing. The academic wing will be used by the ESCC Fine Arts Department.

However, students, faculty and staff of the college are not the only ones who will enjoy and benefit from the new performing arts center. In fact, community leaders are looking forward to the opportunities the modern center will provide for the community and surrounding areas.

But performing arts enthusiasts will have to remain on standby until the projected completion date for the new Enterprise State Community College performing arts center in December 2024.
