Coming Up: Boll Weevil Fall Festival 2021

Boll Weevil Fall Festival 2021

Who’s ready to celebrate overcoming adversity? Make plans to meet at the Boll Weevil Monument on Main Street for the Boll Weevil Fall Festival 2021 Saturday, October 16th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.!

The Festival

The Boll Weevil Fall Festival 2021 continues a time-honored tradition in Enterprise. It serves as a reminder that even when pesky bugs destroy the cotton crops, you work smarter.

In this case, farmers planted other crops. Therefore, the town’s agriculture and economic success grew from what could have been a disaster.

To commemorate, head downtown for a day of fun, good food, arts and crafts, local merchants, children’s activities and more. Explore North and South Main Street. Walk up and down East and West College Street.

Stop in local restaurants and shops, or visit the Enterprise Depot Museum. In addition, there will be tons of vendors on hand. For example, enjoy “Cajun eats” served from the A Taste of Louisiana food truck.

Start your holiday shopping early with unique finds from College Street Crafts, Accio Clay or Bell & Birch Designs—just to name a few. For a better look at the vendors, click here and scroll down for a sneak peek.

What’s New

The Boll Weevil Fall Festival 2021 is mixing it up this year with a new feature. Local restaurants, gather your top five servers and enter them in the first-ever Server Olympics! There will be three events with cash prizes leading to the ultimate Top Server Challenge.

Registration is open until October 14th. Cost is $25 per participant. Return the entry fee along with completed registration forms to the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce at 553 Glover Ave. You can also send the forms to [email protected].

The Server Olympics will be held at noon at the Boll Weevil Monument.

Summary

For a day of festival fun, take a right out of the Summer Court parking lot onto Briarwood Drive and make your way to 101 Main St., which is hard to miss. It’s a statue of a lady holding up a boll weevil. And the good news is when you opt to live at Summer Court Townhomes, you don’t have to worry about pests thanks to monthly pest control!
