Coming Soon: State of the Art Recreation Center in Enterprise

state of the art recreation center in Enterprise

It’s a new year, and already new projects are underway in the City of Progress! Demolition on the “Jug” Brown Rec Center has begun. The future state of the art recreation center in Enterprise is officially in the works.

Construction update on the new recreation center

The new and improved state of the art recreation center in Enterprise will feature several upgrades. Originally built in 1958, the former recreation center served its purpose and the community well.

Now, the community can look forward to a $30 million facility featuring several modern upgrades. For starters, the future center will have more room and offer more programs.

A few of the new features include multiple courts for basketball, volleyball, or pickleball, plus a cardio exercise area with new equipment.

There will also be a zero-depth entry pool with six 25-yard lanes. In addition, there will be an aquatic play structure, locker rooms, a pool party room, and more.

According to reports, the 110,000-square-foot recreation center will be the largest municipal building in the city.

What to expect

For now, demolition is underway at the Lee Street building site. Hopefully, it will wrap up this month so construction on the Enterprise Aquatics and Recreation Center can begin. Once construction starts, the project is expected to take up to a year and a half to two years.

Where is Enterprise Parks & Recreation’s temporary home?
